The queen of Himalayan region, the land of Sherpa Tenzing Norgey, largest producer of tea in India… phewwww…. Ya ya u guessed it right …this trip was to Darjeeling……

This trip was a little different from my previous ones… this was a official team building event …which meant…bigger grp (41 ppl) … team building games and presentations…no Trekking L but party every night J… and most imp. all expenses paid by company… hihi..

We started from Delhi on 1st Nov. by morning flight to Bagdogra… about two hrs flight with beautiful views of Himalayan mountain ranges…

from Bagdogra we had our buses for Darjeeling… and it was goin to b a very interesting one..we had all the ingredients for a perfect dhamaal journey…

And after a few refreshing pints ….. the masti started…..can't put the pics here...:P

There was a place on the way which gave an excellent view of the mountains and the valley….

the rays of hope......

We halted at a place for lunch….had first taste of local cuisine there…he served excellent momos… there was a church just in front of the hotel… n there was a msg for all…

We reached Darjeeling 6 30 in the evening ..it was so dark and quite as if it was already 11pm. The resort we were staying was awesome…Mayfair resort it was……

my room.....

We were tired but had a local traditional dancers performing….so hw we could have missed that…

now i know gorkhali dance tooo......:) hum kissi se kam nahi.....

Meet my friend….gandhi…hey,, m talking bout the guy ….

And let me tell you all the nights we had cocktails n dance…I won’t be posting any pic of those here….:)

Next day early morning…blve me it was really early…3 am…we had to reach tiger hills for the beautiful sunrise … we were thinking, why so early..but when we reached there there were already many ppl waiting ….we reached on time and got the best seats ….hurrahh…though we had to sit till 5 45 for the sunrise but the view after that compensated for everything…

hey god...u n me...face to face...... wat say?????

Sunrays reflecting from kanchunjunga….amazing…

The valley was covered with clouds.......

While coming back from tiger hill we went to a monastry …..

Those little ones wanted some enlightenment…. so i blessed them.......hhihi

And thn we reached the war memorial…..

here was this guy....all dressed up... paying tribute to his martyr brothers...

....i missed the honour my brother....

I won’t say much here…. maa tujhe salam......

And the enthu that I got into there …I decided to do some rock climbing…

And then we reached bk and the while day was presentations and discussions….

Next day was all day out….

we had a toy train ride from Darjeeling to Ghoom….

I expected it to be a “meri sapno ki rani” types ride….but it was not that exciting… the distance ws too small n we were crossing only cities…. Nothing mch to do in moving train s we did all natakbazi at the station…

From Ghoom we got into taxis for Mirik… we halted at a tea garden…

I really dnt know why we went to Mirik ….. coz the only thing we did there was……LUNCH….

We had a few plans for boating..n visit to a temple…and after that shopping….but not many were interested in al three…so some wise man gave an idea of going to Nepal…. And here we go… I ws so excited…my first trip abroad…hihihi…ppl fly to foreign countries, I just walked into one…. We did some shopping there….. and came back…

I liked this pic…. Straight from the farms….

That evening was again dance dance and dance….

Nothing as adventurous as it used to b in my adventure trips but still the best thing about this trip was tht this ws a real team builder….so many ppl I nvr interacted wth..had different perception about…we met and interacted with all of them…came to know some things them and some things about myself which I never knew ….… and most importantly we made FRIENDS…

Hey I took some pics during the trip…have a look…

Locals.. dnt ask me were I clicked these….

Oh mother nature…

Generation Gap… the picture says it all….

Life’s crossroad…confusing…

and it al ended in smiles....

So this was it …my trip to Darjeeling… next one is comng very soon….so just wait for it…cheers………..
